Eng. Tamer Abdel Rehim is currently the Managing Director for Nile Valley Engineering (www.nvec-eg.com), leading the company in numerous contracting jobs throughout Egypt with vast experience yields from Governmental to Commercial & Residential projects. He is a board member of ERECRI (Egyptian Renewable Energy Cluster for Research & Innovation).
Accumulative experience in engineering for more than 25 years, from Engineering design through Procurement till the Commissioning phase. Gained experience in various fields from Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, Contracting, Oil & Gas, Households, Electro- Mechanical contracting jobs.
Participation in International cooperation projects related to the development of Solar Energy and relevant personal capacity buildings under the umbrella of UNIDO and various EU funding programs (FP7 – ENPI CBCMED – ERASMUS – H2020).
Overall, a strong network with all the Egyptian stakeholders involved in the field of Renewable, Solar Energy & Sustainability.
Sample of the milestones achieved in regional cooperation Renewable Energy projects during the past years are:
- Success in implementing a Solar Testing Tower and Prototype Heliostats with the tracking system in Helwan University.
- Cooperating in the design / implementation of a Small-Scale Cogeneration Solar thermal plant in Sekem factory. Using Linear Fresnel collectors and Storage system and utilizing the output to generate electricity through an ORC and generating Airconditioning using an absorption chiller.
- Assisting in the accreditation process for Solar Water Heaters testing laboratory and relevant capacity building in NREA (National Renewable Energy Authority in Egypt).
- Development of renewable/thermally driven and storage-integrated cooling Technologies.
Mr. Tamer Abdel Rehim holds a Master of Business Administration from Westbrook University & BSc of Electrical Engineering from Ain Shams University.
