Tarak Chérif is the 6th President of ANIMA Investment Network and President of the Confederation of Citizen Enterprises of Tunisia (CONECT), an employers’ trade union organisation he founded in 2011, bringing together private and public, Tunisian and foreign companies across various sectors of the Tunisian economy. A renowned Tunisian businessman, he has headed the Tunisian group Alliance One since 1981. He holds a master’s degree in Law from the University of Paris-Sud, a degree in Management from the Institut Supérieur de Gestion de Paris, and a degree in International Politics from the Institut des Hautes Études Internationales. Since May 2011, he has served as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Turkey in Tunisia. In April 2018, he was elected Vice-President of the Arab Businessmen’s Federation for the period until 2022. Tarak Chérif has also received decorations in several countries.
