Tarek Tawfik

Tarek Tawfik currently serves as Chairman of Cairo Poultry Group, President of BusinessMed – Union of Mediterranean Business Confederations, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, and Vice Chairman of the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies (ECES). He is a member of the boards of directors of several national institutions, including the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), the Egyptian Sovereign Fund, and the Rural Development Company (New Egyptian Countryside). He also serves as Chairman of the Egyptian–Dutch Business Council, a Board Member of the Export Development Fund, and a Member of the Board of Trustees of the National Food Safety Authority, and a board member of the America Chamber of Commerce in Egypt. Throughout his career, Tawfik has held numerous senior leadership and advisory positions, including Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, Chairman of the Food Industries Chamber, and Chairman of the Food Industries Export Council. He has also served as a Board Member of the Agricultural Bank of Egypt, a Member of the Prime Minister’s Business Advisory Council, a Member of the Prime Minister’s Export Advisory Council, and a Board Member of the Industrial Modernization Program. Tarek Tawfik holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cairo University, a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from San Francisco State University.
