Yasser Ahmed Abbas

Mr. Yasser Ahmed Abbas currently serves as executive vice president of GAFI for investment affairs and free zones with many job tasks including managing all processes related to services implementation, investors satisfaction in one stop shop sector and free zones sector. Not only that this task includes supervising the main headquarter center in addition to thirteen others.
Each service center hosts sixty seven governmental entities operating in harmony to cover all investor needs aligned with coordinating between various sectors of GAFI in order to streamline and digitize all services in accordance with GAFI strategy.
Furthermore, Mr. Yasser is a key member in the process of outlining standard procedure manual of GAFI services as well as responsible on reporting to GAFI“s Board of Directors. Moreover, he is the chief of many vital units in GAFI such as Golden Licenses and Incentives units.
Previously, Mr. Yasser held many administrative governmental positions starting as General Coordinator of the Internal Trade Modernization Program at Ministry of Trade and industry, manager of the technical office of the Assistant Chairman of GAFI and Head of the Sinai Unit, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Internal Trade Development Authority at Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, and head of one stop shop sector at GAFI.
For the most part, it is worth noting that undoubtedly for over a decade many of these positions he worked has had a significant impact on developing the administrative and leadership skills necessary to prosper the services provided to investors.
Mr. Yasser acquired his Bachelor of Military Sciences from the Military College in Cairo. Along with that possesses a diploma in project management. In fact, he worked in cooperation with several international organizations such as the United Nations and the African Union.
